Naturum Fulufjället, National Park Fulufjället's own Visitors Center, in cooperation with Dalarna County, asked me for an exhibition and a slide-show on the theme "Water" (year 2012 theme for the network of protected areas in Sweden). The exhibition is titled "National Water": a series of photos with water as subject, all taken within 9 different Swedish national parks. Vernissage in May Thursday 17th at 11:00, and it will remain up all summer long. Same day at 11:30, the slide-show "Water. Life, Form, Color" is scheduled in Naturum. A realization by Ferdinando Giaquinto with a selection of my photos from all Europe. The slide show will be repeated on Saturday 19th at 13:30.
Cranes are arrived in Särna, as they always do in April. And in The Chronicles of Särna (and other stories from the North).
On May issue of the Swiss magazine "Vivere la Montagna" my article "The year of the Lemming".
On April issue of the Italian magazine "Rivista della Natura" my article "It's Lemming time".
Waiting for the next update of the Chronicles of Särna (where sooner or later something will happen) let me inform you that my books "My Sweden" and "Le forme incerte" are now for sale on Ebay (respectively here and here) at the online shop of Libreria Croci in Varese. Yep, even for international buyers.
It is always a special feeling to be published on paper (maybe a generational thing); even more so when the magazine is Terre Sauvage. January issue, one picture on double page in the opening gallery.
Nadir.it, one of the best Italian photo resources on the web, publishes a special issues on Mountain, and features my article Wilderness, magic & respect. The webzine is in Italian, but you can read my article an English version here in my Articles & Columns pages.
A bunch of pictures from my last workshop about landscape photography, in the Regional Park of river Sile (TV), are now online in the Family Album page of Workshop section.
